Generally, you are not allowed to do major interior redecorating when you rent an apartment. There may still be restrictiointerior4.jpgns on what you can do with the home’s interior if the landlord does not want to see major alterations of the home. Sad part right? Extensive decorating work such as replacing the flooring, tearing down wallpaper or adding skylights and dimmed lights might not be considered acceptable by some landlords. Reading and understanding your lease is the first thing you need to do. The lease contract might clearly prohibit certain improvements. So better ask for their permission too. It is unlikely that the lease will spell out each and every possible type of interior decor activity, so check with the landlord before making modifications to the rental house. If possible, obtain a written authorization from the landlord of your proposed redecorating ideas.
