Your bedroom is your sanctuary. This is the place where you can relax and have fun.
There are ways to keep your bedroom you heaven. Do not add office equipments to your bedroom. Your bedroom is for relaxation purposes and not for work.
Choose the right bed that fits in the room. Though sheets are expensive, splurge on quality cotton sheets to add comfort. Choose the color that coincides with your bedroom design.
Choose dark window curtains if you are a night person, so you can sleep during the day. Choose cool color palettes such as blue and light green. Make your bedroom a retreat, and an enjoyable space to be in.
Placing furniture at different heights influences our perceptions of space. Keeping the furniture at the same height level will make the room look more spacious. We could put a few breakers to avoid monotony. A small apartment or home would seem larger if the same palette of colors is used in different variations. A long corridor may be designed to look shorter by painting the far side using a deep, warm color. If you have a high ceiling, painting it in a darker color than walls would make it seem lower even if there is minimal variation of colors between the wall and ceiling.
More often, we are faced with the dilemma of choosing the right colors for our homes. Starting out, we have no idea of what color scheme or color palette we could decorate with. Looking at color boards could be very helpful. They could guide you in determining your color preferences and coordinating the colors. A color guide will give you the immediate ability to visualize design concepts and colors of the choices available to you without having to spend so much time researching books and magazines. Knowing the perfect color scheme and style for your home will give you the confidence to proceed with your decorating project.
Each room has different architectural features but designer tricks can make small rooms appear larger. By allowing as much natural light to enter the room as possible and using artificial light freely will help to keep things bright creating a spacious look. Placing lamps will bounce the light off the ceiling and reflect it back into the room. Another way is the use of mirrors, if possible using a space on the wall from ceiling to the floor. Furniture made of glass reveal much floor space. To help keep the space open and free, furniture with longer legs is recommended.
Everything small is hip these days, just check out the iPod Nano if you don’t believe me. This also pertains to home decorating since those dainty and small condo units are getting their fair share attention. Chandeliers are supposed to look grand and…well…big. Nowadays, we need to scrimp on space and the old idea of the large chandelier on top of the piano is no longer that possible.
Welcome the mini chandelier.
Since these are small, they’re usually made up of lesser materials like aluminum or hollow. This however makes them easier to install and makes them cost effective as well.

It used to be that TVs are bulky things that take up a chunk of space in your living room, now with the introduction of LCD and Plasma screens, those days are coming to an end.
However, this presents a new challenge to interior design artists: how do you make something like a TV look design-worthy on a living room wall? Most people still see these plasma on the wall designs as an irritation to the eyes. That is until this article suggested the Italia Television Panel:
These contemporary tv stands panels surround the screen in a multitude of colors such as dark oak tv stands and an attractive ash grey, which integrate the technology into the home.
Smooth and sleek, the panels are used on screens of various sizes and if the television is no more than 10 centimeters can be mounted to be flush with the panel creating a smooth surface.
Even if you find yourself with a television more than 10cm in depth the effect of the wall panels is attractive and desirable.

High ceilings tend to have a dulling effect of lighting for the ones you have on the ceiling rarely have the power to illuminate the whole space. For these types of spaces, it may be necessary to light from both above and below to create ample lighting that can easily be achieved by mood lights on the floor or at mid-level then from the ceiling to give ample light to illuminate the whole space. Mood lighting on the roof can also be applied for effect, crisscrossing on the rafters if they show, accented by hanging chandeliers to illuminate and take full advantage of the high ceiling space where they fit with almost any ceiling type.

High and flat walls are often a pain if you don’t have the slightest clue on what to do to make the space look a bit more homey as they say. Leave them bare and you have a lot of plain colored walls that works best for minimalistic home styles but can be rather bland for lively people with a necessary style to match. Dressing them up may be easier if you could get a stylist to give you an idea and I’ll assure you, you get you’re money’s worth when the finished product is seen and for you to behold.
